When most people talk about taking a trip in or to California, it seems to focus on one of two places. The most popular place in California to visit, by far, is the Disneyland Resort properties in Southern California. Second on many people’s lists of vacation spots in California is the beaches of Southern California. Both a Disney vacation and a beachfront vacation are great ways to spend time in the Golden State, but there is another place that can provide for some of the most memorable times in the state of California, that place is Yosemite National Park.

The park’s most famous attractions are Yosemite Valley, the Giant Sequoias, Glacier Point, Badger Pass, Crane Flat, Tioga Road, Tuolumne Meadows, and of course Hetch Hetchy. Yosemite National Park is also home to some incredible waterfalls like Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Fall, Vernal Falls, Nevada Fall, Ribbon Fall, Wapama Falls, and more. The natural sights that can be seen within the park are truly awe inspiring and people have enjoyed them since the early settlers came to this part of the continent.

Some of the most underrated attractions in Yosemite National Park are the historical sites, structures, and features. Many interesting things can be learned with a visit to the Yosemite Museum. The museum is packed with interesting artifacts that refer not only to the time when settlers came to and through the area, but also to the Native Americans that frequented the area, and prehistoric times as well. There are a number of other attractions as well, including the Nature Center at Happy Isles, Leconte Memorial Lodge, the Yosemite Cemetery, The Ansel Adams Gallery, and more.
