Las Vegas, also known as “Sin City” is a popular travel destination for many. The city received this nickname for its abundance of all that is decadent. From casinos to beautiful show girls, Las Vegas has it all. Thanks to this illustrious image Las Vegas has been ranked in the top ten of all desirable travel destinations within the United States. As with any other tourist laden city, Las Vegas has its own list of popular attractions. Some are more deserving of credit than others, and some you just must see. The Strip - the Las Vegas strip is the 2.5 mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard that runs directly through the center of the city. The strip is home to many of Las Vegas’ entertainment venues and the city’s magnificent hotels. While more impressive at night, the strip is a popular tourist destination at any time of day.
Caesar’s Palace - Probably the best known hotel in Las Vegas, Caesar’s Palace is a staple among the array of Las Vegas hotel resorts. While Caesar’s Palace is first and foremost a hotel, it also offers a wide choice of activities. These activities include concerts, shopping, dining, and shows.
Star Trek the Experience - This attraction, housed inside the Las Vegas Hilton, is perfect for any Star Trek or general science fiction fan. Star Trek the Experience features interactive rides, and a large Star Trek store. Star Trek the Experience is easily the must see travel destination for fans of the show.
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay- Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay features a state of the art aquarium that houses 2000 animals in over 1.5 million gallons of seawater. The animals featured include giant rays, and golden crocodiles. The giant tanks can be viewed from 180 degrees making it one of the most impressive aquariums ever made.
Stratosphere Tower - Stratosphere Tower is a must see destination when you are in Las Vegas and with good reason. The Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding building in all of the United States. The tower stands 1149 ft in height and features various attractions and restaurants up on top. The Stratosphere also features a wedding chapel.
These five must see travel destinations when you are in Las Vegas are the most impressive of the hundreds of attractions. Las Vegas, Nevada is the most glamorous city in the United States. From the bright neon lights, to the exuberant architecture of the many fine hotels, Las Vegas is heaven on Earth. These destinations are unique even for such an impressive city.
