Dining Discount Programs At The Walt Disney World

Here goes good news for the Floridian residents. Disney Dining Experience (DDE) is a dining discount program for the people of Florida and the Annual Pass Holders of age 21 years or above. Until the year 2005, the Disney Dining Experience was open for the Floridian Residents only but after that the rule had been altered a bit. Presently the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) is open to the General Membership (Floridian Residents) at $85 per head, Annual Passholders at $60 per head, Non Passholders (Floridian Residents) at $70 per head and the Second Membership for the members’ partners or spouses at $ 25 per head. The discount offered at the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) usually tends to be fixed within any specific calendar year.

For upto 10 persons including the member, the members are entitled to get 20% discount on all foods and the alcoholic and the non-alcoholic beverages. Most of the Disney’s full-service restaurants and the lounges of the Walt Disney World hotels usually participate the dining discount program. There are certain other lucrative benefits of the Disney Dining Experience (DDE). The DDE cardholders are also entitled to get 50% discount on the admission with one guest to the Pleasure Island. The Hard-ticket admissions are not included in this case. The DDE cardholders are also entitled to get some exclusive invitations to the Disney’s Dining Experience events. The DDE cards holders also receive the club newsletters notifying the members about the significant news like any change of the participating restaurants. There are so many participating restaurants in the Disney Resort Hotels Locations, Theme Park Locations, Downtown Disney Locations and the other locations such as the Wide World of Sports, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and etc.

You can get the membership only by mail or by phone. For the membership you can make a call at the Disney’s Dining Experience Office at (407) 566-5858 Monday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm. The application for the membership can be sent to the address “Disney’s Dining Experience, Post Office Box – 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL - 32830.” The office usually requires several weeks for the processing. If, by any chance, you are going to reach the Walt Disney World prior to getting you membership card, then you may get a letter of authorization from the Guest Relation Office to avail the discounted rate for dining. It is hereby mandatory to present the photo and the Identity proof at the office.

There are certain restrictions for the Disney Dining Experience. The most important of which is that no combination of cards may be accepted and only one discount card is allowed for one table. The second most pivotal point is that the presence of the member with his or her own card is a must while ordering. Moreover the Disney Dining Experience is not accepted on the special holidays such as Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Mother’s Day, New Year’s Day, New Year’s Eve, and the Thanksgiving Day.
