A Helicopter Tour Of New York City

When it comes to vacation destinations, picking a location that will interest and excite the entire family or group that is traveling is one of the most important tasks that needs to be done. For a vacation destination that appeals to a great many people, a prospective traveler will be doing their best to make sure the vacation is a success by choosing New York City as their vacation destination. New York City has so much to offer that few travelers will be able to see it all during the span of a normal vacation.

helicopterOne of the hardest things to grasp during a visit to New York City is the actual size of the city itself. The city is so massive that it is hard to get an accurate visual of it even by making trips to traditional viewpoints like The Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building. One of the best ways to see New York City in all of its glory is by taking a helicopter tour of the city.

Taking a helicopter tour of New York City is one of the best ways to get the most out of the city. If a traveler is planning on taking a tour of New York City, there are a number of options. The city offers bus tours and boat tours too, but neither of those provides for the visuals that come with a helicopter tour of the largest city in the United States.

While it is true that helicopter tours of New York City are not the most inexpensive activity, when the cost is balanced out by the one of a kind memories it creates, it can still prove to be worthwhile. One of the key benefits of a helicopter tour of New York City is the lack of traffic jams. When a bus tour is stopped at a red light, the tour is not advancing. When a boat is busy being loaded or waiting for a spot at a pier, it is not providing more for the traveler to see. There are few, if no, obstructions during a helicopter tour, so the time is maximized to the benefit of the traveler.

In a city the size of New York City, there is no other tour option that has the ability to show you all of the city. It would simply take too long for a bus tour to cover the amount of roadway it would take. A boat is limited to only showing sites that are literally on the water. A helicopter tour of New York City has the ability to show a visitor all of the key areas of the city, from Brooklyn and the Bronx to Greenwich and Staten Island. A helicopter tour of New York City has the ability to show a traveler all of the sites that make up the attractions of the city, not just some of them like other tours would offer. With a helicopter tour, a traveler can see the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, Ellis Island, Wall Street, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and more.

There are additional bonuses to a helicopter tour of New York City, it can be an extremely romantic way for a vacationer to spend time with their significant other. There is no better way for a tourist to see the entire city of New York City than by helicopter. A helicopter tour of the Big Apple would create incredible memories that would last an entire lifetime.

Total agreement coming here from the UK! We went to NYC in February this year and took a helicopter ride at 9.00am on a freezing cold but sunny New York morning! Think it was fate cos the next day there was four inches of snow! It was the most amazing thing I have ever done… if a little scary! They put me up next to the pilot and my husband in the back… seeing this amazing city sprawled out below my feet inside a tiny plastic bubble was intense! Husband took some video footage and photo’s whilst I prayed that we would make it back to the heliport in one piece. He has made a DVD on the i-mac of our trip set to to the U2 song - City Of Blinding Lights…and now that song gives me shivers every time I hear it!!
If anyone is thinking about doing it… don’t hesitate…book it!!

I think a helicpoter tour would have been great but it is really expensive for a short trip. I had a cruise around the island and it was pretty good and informative too. But if you can afford it the a helicopter tour would be a once in a lifetime experience.
