The WWE universe is coming together on Saturday night for the annual pay per view titled “The Bash” and every major title is on the line. The Bash is annually one of the better pay per views that the WWE puts out and this one should be no exception. Who will reign supreme at The Bash this year? Lets take a look at the matches and predict what should and will happen.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy
This match should be one of the better matches of The Bash. Punk has been showing signs of turning heel and his go to sleep against John Morrison after getting beat on Smackdown pretty much proves it. On the flip side, Hardy is about as solid a face as the WWE has going right now. Expect lots of high flying moves and high risk excitement. Do not be surprised if John Morrison plays into the decision. I see Hardy winning the belt possibly with help on the outside from Morrison.
Winner - Jeff Hardy
WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H
This match is almost certainly just a way to solidify Orton’s run as WWE Champion. It is hard to imagine how the WWE would benefit from yet another HHH championship run. Orton is the best heel in the business, and he needs some time as champion to help some others climb the main event status.
Winner - Randy Orton
ECW Championship Scramble Match
This match is looking like it will be Christian winning, though he is rumored to be headed elsewhere to Smackdown or Raw. Still, I can see him winning the match for now.
Winner - Christian
Women’s Champion Melina vs. Michelle McCool
Melina has had a great run as the champ, and McCool is likely to take the belt at The Bash. McCool is a much more marketable Diva right now, and their are some face Divas that need a good push.
Winner - Michelle McCool
Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio
This feud has been the best one going in the WWE over the last few months, and this match will only build it higher. If Mysterio loses, he must take off his mask forever. Though that would seem like a bad thing, it was a wonderful thing for his career back in the WCW days. He lost his mask then as well, and it spurred him to a great face run. This may just do the same for the great Mysterio. Jericho is the best heel in the business, and will continue his run as champion.
Winner - Chris Jericho
The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler
Though nobody really cares, Ziggler will win this because he needs a push. He really needs a good program with a solid star such as Jeff Hardy or some other superstar.
Winner - Dolph Ziggler
John Cena vs. The Miz
In what many consider to be the best match up of The Bash, The Miz will finally get the chance to take on Cena. He has been calling him out for weeks, and finally he will face him one on one. Hopefully, the WWE will let him escape the match with some form of success, as he is actually really starting to build some steam. The Miz is the next WWE sports entertainment superstar, and Vince needs to see that.
Winner - The Miz (what the WWE fans want) The actual winner? John Cena (what the WWE always does)
Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase
The team of DiBiase and Rhodes should have won these belts long ago to help Legacy grow and give these guys more of a push than just being Orton’s punks. They are talented and they need to carry some gold to be legitimate. Carlitto and Primo are great athletes and will be better faces chasing the belts than holding them.
Winners - DiBiase and Rhodes
