With the huge number of pay per view events that the WWE puts on every year, it takes a pretty good bit of storyline building to make them interesting. In recent months, the WWE has fell drastically short on this end. Fortunately, for the upcoming Night of Champions pay per view, they have done a much better job. The WWE has really worked on building some unique feuds and storylines, and this should make Night of Champions a pretty good one. Here are the matches along with my predictions for the outcome:

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena

This match originally did not actually interest me, but it has grown on me. Cena is doing a very good job of playing the face, and Triple H is also drawing major crowd interest. The real story here is Randy Orton, however. Orton has a chance here to really elevate his status if the WWE allows it. Orton needs to win this one and cement his place as the dominate heel in WWE. I am afraid, however, that Cena is about to take on yet another Pay per view win.

Winner - John Cena

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy

Of all the matches, this one is by far the most interesting. The feud between these two was crafted perfectly by the WWE. Punk is becoming a very good heel rather quickly and Hardy is over big time with WWE crowds. This match is likely to be the best of the night, and will end in a win for the WWE regardless of who actually wins. My guess? I think CM Punk retains and builds an even bigger heel persona.

Winner - CM Punk

Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler

This match is destined to be Ziggler’s coming out party. He is due to win a title, and Mysterio is so over he does not have to have one. I see Ziggler winning in a big way here.

Winner - Dolph Ziggler

United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Big Show vs. MVP vs. Carlito vs. Jack Swagger vs. The Miz

This match is also a bit fascinating to me as there are a number of different ways they could go. I think that for the WWE to truly build up a potential superstar, they need to put the strap on the Miz. The Miz had great momentum going into the feud with Cena, and they need to capitalize on that now before it is gone.

Winner - The Miz

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian

This match is not remotely interesting to me at all as I am not a big ECW fan. I do like Christian, and Dreamer is simply alright. I think that Christian must win the belt back for ECW to stay relevant in the WWE universe. They are to stripped down right now of superstar talent.

Winner - Christian

Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho & A Mystery Partner vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes

To me, this is the absolute top match of the night. I am dying to know who Jericho will bring in as a partner. Will it be someone outside the WWE? Will it be an up and comer in the ranks? Nobody seems to have a clue, and just that should make the match a huge event. I hope it is someone that shocks us, so that the WWE will have some new blood. We will see. Either way, I see Jericho and whomever it is retaining, if only because of the face turn that is coming for DiBiase.

Winner - Jericho and Somebody

Divas Champion Maryse vs. Mickie James

Mickie James will once again be champion. This one is so obvious that it is not even funny. Take a bathroom break on this one.

Winner - Mickie James
