For years the WWE Divas had one real job in the WWE. To come out, and be pretty. Those days are long gone now. The WWE Divas of today are true athletes. They are still pretty, and are capable of turning virtually any man’s head, but they are also wrestlers. Some are better than others to be sure, but they are wrestlers.

There is a fairly good sized group of WWE Divas that bust their butts in the ring, and yet they still do not get the due that they deserve. Professional wrestling is about many things, and acting is certainly one of the more important ones. Pro wrestlers are expected to not only perform physically, but they also have to perform in character. There are a few WWE Divas in particular that are fantastic in this role, and yet they do not get the push that they should.

Beth Phoenix – Beth is a WWE Diva that falls into a category much like Chyna once did. She is built as powerfully as many men, but still maintains a feminine quality to some degree. She is not really my cup of tea, but I respect this WWE Diva for being great at what she is meant to be doing. Beth is the heel that is all powerful. She is more than good in this role, yet she is jobbing a whole lot lately to other Divas that have no business beating her.

Maryse - This is one of the newer WWE Divas on the scene and she has made quite the impact. She came to Raw and captured the Diva’s Championship right away. The problem with Maryse is that they are having her play a part of coward. Maryse is way to talented to be in that role. Her current feud with Mickie James is an insult not only to Maryse, but to her talent in the ring. This feud would be much better if she was instead a tough heel. Her and Mickie could feud on wrestling talent, and it would hold much more interest for the WWE Divas division.

Gail Kim – Kim just recently came back to the WWE from a long stint with TNA Wrestling. In TNA, the women wrestlers are much more focused on. Gail came back to the WWE expecting a push, and so far she is getting absolutely nothing. Gail Kim is the most talented wrestler of all the WWE Divas, and should be in the mix for the titles for sure. I imagine there will come a time when the WWE will be forced to work Kim into the title picture. She is way over with WWE Diva fans anyway.
