Wrestlemania 25 is now upon the wrestling world and it is the set to be one of the most memorable in recent memory. The storylines are percolating exactly the way that Vince McMahon and company had hoped, and it is coming off some of the hottest episodes on Raw in a very long time. For a while, it appeared that the WWE had finally ran itself dry, but with a rejuvenated batch of storylines, and a red hot Randy Orton playing the heel, Wrestlemania 25 might go down as the best ever in the world of sports entertainment. Here are each of the matches for Wrestlemania 25, and how I see them shaking down. Keep in mind that this is just one man’s opinion, and which direction Vince goes is anybody’s guess.

Chris Jericho vs. WWE Legends Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka, and Roddy Piper (With Ric Flair Ringside)
This storyline is one of the few that I actually was a bit disappointed in. For weeks, Jericho had been berating and abusing former legends and WWE Hall of Famers. Given that the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin is about to join the Hall of Fame Saturday night, it seemed logical that he would be Jericho’s opponent. Instead, they are bringing in these other greats to face Jericho in a handicap match. In spite of the disappointment, this still has possibilities. Steamboat and Piper are still wildly popular, and rumor has it that Snuka still has some moves in the squared circle. Flair will find a way to insert himself into the match as well. What will happen? I think that the Legends have to win this one. They will win, but with some help of some kind. This may be the point that Stone Cold comes out and helps them in some way. He has to appear at some point in Wrestlemania 25, so why not to start off the show?
Winner : WWE Legends
25 Diva Battle Royal
This match is going to be entertaining, and should feature some genuinely funny moments to boot. Santino is trying to get into the match, and probably will get in somehow. That said, I see him actually being a major player in the match for laughs if nothing else. Hopefully, however, the WWE will not allow it to become all about Santino. If they do, then they are basically saying that they do not take their women wrestlers seriously. That could kill the division. That said, I think that the Divas will come down to newcomer Gail Kim (she needs a push) Melina, and Kelly Kelly. In a surprise, I think that Gail Kim will win this one to try to bring a talented wrestler to a higher place in the division. She is head and shoulders above the other Divas as far as talent.
Winner : Gail Kim
Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Kane, CM Punk, Christian, MVP, Mark Henry, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Fit Finlay
This match is fascinating as it allows the winner gets a free shot anytime, anyplace, for any Championship to the winner. That said, one of these Men could actually walk out of Wrestlemania 25 the World Champion in theory. That said, it will need to be somebody that needs a major push that gets the win. They almost always end up sending the winner of this match to glory in the following year. Who is the WWE wanting to be the next big thing? Well, you can pretty much rule out M. Henry, CM Punk, and Fit Finlay, as these guys do not fit the profile. CM Punk certainly could win, but it makes little since after his win last year. M. Henry and Fit Finlay just are not headliners. That leaves five guys. Of the five, I would say the most likely candidates are Benjamin, Christian, and MVP. Kane and Kingston have both had a moment or two already. Look for the winner to come from these three men.
Winner : Christian
Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker
This match is one of the few that I just do not like. It is predicatable, and a bit on the boring side as far as wrestling styles. I do not see Michaels and Undertaker lighting up Wrestlemania 25. One reason? The WWE has telegraphed it’s move here. Taker has been beat down every single week leading up to the match. It is clear he will win over Michaels, or he will otherwise be completely humiliated. To get beat down for four weeks, and lose the match? It won’t happen to the Undertaker.
Winner : Undertaker
WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions (Unified Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match) Miz and Morrison vs Colons
Snooze. Sorry, but this one holds no interest whatsoever.
Winner : Miz and Morrison
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy (Extreme Rules Match)
Now this is a match with a great storyline. Matt Hardy bashes Jeff Hardy over the head in jealousy and costs his brother the World Title? Classic. Not many people saw this one coming, and I am included. I think that Matt Hardy has more long term appeal, but Jeff is much more popular right now due to his title run. Expect Jeff to get Matt back with an awesome Swanton Bomb.
Winner: Jeff Hardy
Intercontinental Champion JBL vs. Rey Mysterio
Some bad guys have to win, and JBL is set to be one of them. Mysterio will lose this match up in some fashion. He will, however, put on a heck of a show.
Winner : JBL
World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show (Triple Threat Match)
In a match that pits one very boring star (Show) against two superstars in Cena and Edge, one must wonder why we did not just have an Edge vs Cena match up. The match has Big Show for one very good reason. He is about to get the push he has been waiting for. Look for Show to win the World Title, and go on a long run of infuriating storylines with Vickie Guerrero. Also, I smell an Edge turn to the good side in the works as well, here. A shame, really, because Edge is one of the best bad guys in the WWE.
Winner : Big Show
WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Easily the Main Event of Wrestlemania 25, the Orton/Triple H match is one for the ages. The WWE did a wonderful job in bringing the storyline along, and the way the brought it to a head at the end of Raw this past Monday was perfect. Vince, Shane, and the Game coming out to face Orton and Rhodes/ Dibiase was classic WWE. That will be the impetus for the next year in the WWE. Randy Orton, who has elevated himself to the top of the WWE roster, will win the championship. He will also reign for a very long time in that position, as he is the perfect long term bad guy champion. Who will challenge him? That will be the primary storylines in the coming year.
Winner : Randy Orton
Wrestlemania 25 will be one for the books. Get it while you can, and enjoy yourself with a night of wrestling action and celebrity appearances!
