The WWE has been floundering around a bit with the latest pay per views, so Hell In a Cell was kind of a chance for them to turn things around. Many people in the WWE Universe felt that the powers that be have been misusing their talent, and that the younger stars are not getting enough push. The truth is, Hell in a Cell gave few chances for this to happen, and it really was more about the veterans once again. Hell in a Cell was actually pretty darn good in spite of this, and the matches left some interesting questions for the future of WWE. Here are the matches, along with some thoughts on each one:
WWE Hell In A Cell Pay Per View Results
The Greatest Ric Flair Rivalries of All Time
Ric Flair, who has dominated the sport of professional wrestling for decades, retired this past year. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and was pretty much given the biggest send off in the history of the sport. Given this, it got me to thinking about the greatest rivalries in his long and storied wrestling career.
Kurt Angle Still TNA World Champion Despite Arrest
TNA Wrestling has now decided that the poster child for their organization, the person who represents the best of their company, should be Kurt Angle. Angle was recently arrested for breaking a restraining order against his girlfriend, and also assorted other charges including having HGH. The decision to keep the world championship on Angle is one that most wrestling fans are finding to be puzzling at best.
The Evolution Of Professional Wrestling
Pro wrestling has been a form of entertainment for a very long time, and has seen it’s share of ups and downs. While never technically considered a “real sport” among sportsmen, a great number of fans would beg to differ. Today’s giant of the professional wrestling, the WWE, has stated clearly that it is sports entertainment. That is, it is scripted and predetermined as to the outcome of each wrestling match. The storylines that permeate the WWE have become legendary and something akin to the soap opera of the sporting world.
WWE Night Of Champions Shaping Up To Be Quite An Event
With the huge number of pay per view events that the WWE puts on every year, it takes a pretty good bit of storyline building to make them interesting. In recent months, the WWE has fell drastically short on this end. Fortunately, for the upcoming Night of Champions pay per view, they have done a much better job. The WWE has really worked on building some unique feuds and storylines, and this should make Night of Champions a pretty good one. Here are the matches along with my predictions for the outcome:
WWE Divas That Should Get More Respect For Ringwork
For years the WWE Divas had one real job in the WWE. To come out, and be pretty. Those days are long gone now. The WWE Divas of today are true athletes. They are still pretty, and are capable of turning virtually any man’s head, but they are also wrestlers. Some are better than others to be sure, but they are wrestlers.
There is a fairly good sized group of WWE Divas that bust their butts in the ring, and yet they still do not get the due that they deserve. Professional wrestling is about many things, and acting is certainly one of the more important ones. Pro wrestlers are expected to not only perform physically, but they also have to perform in character. There are a few WWE Divas in particular that are fantastic in this role, and yet they do not get the push that they should.
Why Edge and Jericho Might Save The Tag Team Division in the WWE
Edge and Christian spent a number of years dominating the tag team division in WWE. During that time, the WWE enjoyed more success with tag team wrestling than pretty much any other time in their history. Now, when the tag team matches come on, most WWE wrestling fans use it for a bathroom break. There are some exceptions of course, but they are few and far between. Why is this is the case? Can the recent Unified Championship win by Edge and Jericho change things?
WWE The Bash Results and Analysis
The WWE pay per view The Bash was held on Sunday night and was everything that you hoped it would be on most fronts. The pay per view gave the WWE fans their money’s worth and even managed a couple of surprises along the way. Here are the results of the night’s matches:
WWE The Bash Preview and Predictions
The WWE universe is coming together on Saturday night for the annual pay per view titled “The Bash” and every major title is on the line. The Bash is annually one of the better pay per views that the WWE puts out and this one should be no exception. Who will reign supreme at The Bash this year? Lets take a look at the matches and predict what should and will happen.
Donald Trump Purchases Monday Night Raw
In a very strange turn of events, Donald Trump has purchased Monday Night Raw from the WWE’s Vince McMahon. This latest stunt by Vince McMahon is being met with a large amount of resistance from long time professional wrestling fans. While the purchase of Raw is almost certainly just a storyline in the world of the WWE, it still means that Donald Trump will be “running” Raw. Trump’s experience with professional wrestling is next to nothing, and one must wonder if he will be able to put out a marketable story line for the company.
