NuWave Oven Product Review

After checking out the NuWave Oven website and reading a number of different reviews both positive and negative, I figured that I might as well give this little oven a shot. I am a guy that does not like to cook much, and I am high on easy clean up, so I thought that the NuWave oven might just be the perfect situation for me. I love to eat and drink quickly and easily. Having said that, I went into the purchase with high hopes for a product that would make my life and cooking a bit easier. The first thing to do was to go to the website and order my NuWave oven.

The ordering process was the only part of this purchase that I simply did not like. It was like running the infomercial shopping gambit what with all the offers to accompany the NuWave oven. I wanted my oven, and not a carrying bag, dvd, etc. Forget all the fringe stuff and send me my oven already! Once I got through the ordering process, I was relieved and still hopeful. One other note: The three payment plan that they offer? It is a terrible case of poor marketing as they delay the shipping of your NuWave oven. What is the deal with that? You are penalized for making payments? That makes no sense at all to me, but I digress.

Finally I got my NuWave oven and began to unpack it. The packaging was very well done, and everything came safe and undamaged. As a matter of fact, I would give the NuWave oven an A+ on the packaging end. With most infomercial products it is hit or miss if the item will be in one piece.

The NuWave oven was very easy to assemble as well. Within minutes I was set up and ready to test the real reason I bought the NuWave oven…The quick cooking. The website and commercial tout the NuWave oven as having a special three way cooking method that leaves your meat juicy and not dried out, while still being crispy on the outside.

My first test of that claim was chicken. I read the directions and so forth and followed it to the letter. The chicken sure looked nice cooking inside the oven, and it was kind of cool to watch it work. The NuWave oven sure seemed to be doing it’s job. Once the oven had cooked the chicken for the directed time, I took it out and had my first real test….taste. That chicken was the best I had tasted in a very long time. My wife, who is pretty much a gourmet chef in her own right, was impressed as well.

Item by item, we tried out the NuWave oven over the next month and sure enough, they all came out exactly as advertised. For once, we have found an infomercial product that actually performs as advertised with the NuWave oven. I have been nothing but satisfied from the start.

Summary

Given the fact that I have only had the NuWave oven for about two months I can not speak for the durability. I know that with plenty of use and cleanings after we bought it, our NuWave oven is as good as the day we got it. How will it hold up over the months to come? I can not say. For that reason, I will ignore the issue of durability and just say so far so good.

As far as the product itself, I could not be happier with my NuWave oven and its ability to cook tasty, well done food. The product has done everything I have seen it advertised as doing, and we are constantly finding new ways to enjoy our NuWave oven. The three way cooking is quite a nice way to cook meats, and it is amazing to see how quickly it can do it.

The final score for my NuWave oven is an A. The only reason my NuWave oven does not get an A+ is because of the hassle and sales pitch when ordering, and the penalty on shipping they apply with payments. Other than that, the NuWave oven is a top notch product in a sea of infomercial duds.
