Motorola H700 Bluetooth Headset - Product Review

If design can sell on its own merits, then we probably would have sold our souls to the devil the moment Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset came out in the market. We know that that was an uber-geek comment, but in our honest, unadulterated and very biased opinion, no wireless headset phone can quite compare in design and style as with the Motorola H700. Oh, yeah. Functionality is also great, since everything that is supposed to work actually works.

Definitely more compact than most of its competition, and about 30% smaller than its predecessor, we find this new Motorola H700 model to be convenient, efficient, and definitely worth the $100 price tag. Okay, so maybe not all units cost that much, but we were so desperate to get ours that we didn’t care where we bought it or how much it would cost us. We got ours from some high end mall and we just wanted to feel so totally wicked being the first to buy it from there. (Come to think of it, we might be the only ones who actually dared ventured into that store…)

This phone’s specifications include: 3-way calling; Bluetooth 1.2 support and Bluetooth Class 2 with wireless connection of 30 feet; echo cancellation and noise reduction features; long battery life that can accommodate 6 hours of talk time; multimedia compatible, specifically with PCs, and PDAs; status LED light; and the PowerFlip foldable microphone design with an ergonomic reversible ear hook. The foldable microphone helps turn the headset on or off.

Nothing but great reviews…

If you want an unbiased product review, then you are better off reading another one, because we simply love our Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset. The compact design alone can make anyone look hip and cool. In our book, any gadget that can do that is already right there on our A-list. Nonetheless, if you are a techie junkie like us, you will especially like how this silver space-craft looking phone fits very comfortably in the ear. Designed with a rubber tipped reversible hook, the Motorola is so small, it won’t cramp your style in the very least. This means, you can wear it for long periods of time without actually feeling its weight, or your ear falling off (whichever comes first.)

The features of the phone are also easy to learn, although we must admit, it took us a coupe of days to really get the hang of it. There are buttons that allows multiple accesses to various functions, so be prepared to count clicks when you first use the headset.

Now, if you are into nitpicking, there is one bad point that we could see with the Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset. The push button features might be a tad too small for some of us with fat fingers. But its really no great matter: with enough practice, you can either work your way through the buttons, or lose so much weight that your fingers lose an inch or two of fat all around.
