With Father’s Day fast approaching, people are sure to be on the look out for a great gift for dear old Dad. While buying for a father is not something that is overly difficult, buying something he will actually like can be. If you find yourself wishing you could pick out the perfect Father’s Day gift this year, here are five outstanding choices most any Dad would love to get:
1. A Day On The Golf Course - Even if your Dad is not a golfer, this is one gift that he will absolutely love. Being on a golf course is one of the most relaxing, and entertaining things that Dad can do. Go ahead and book him a spot at a local golf course and watch his eyes light up with joy on Father’s Day.
2. Tickets To The Game - Like golfing, sporting events are something that is uniquely suited to dear old Dad. Most any sporting event will do, but try to make it a special one where possible. Make sure you get two tickets at least, however, so he can bring someone (you) along.
3. Give him a day of relaxation and quiet - Most fathers seek peace and quiet above all else. Arrange for a nice long day of doing absolutely nothing except relaxing. This can mean watching television, taking a long shower or bath, or just spending time with his favorite book. Father’s Day is all about taking it easy for most Dads.
4. Get Him A Power Tool - Any power tool that he does not already have will be a big hit on Father’s Day. Dads love to build things, and power tools help him to do it easier and faster. As long as it is new, he will love it. Pretty much any power tool is a great choice here. Just make sure he does not already have one.
5. Buy Him A Home Depot Gift Card - Just about every Father in America will love a Home Depot or Lowe’s gift card above most anything else. This is the absolute best Father’s Day gift you can possibly pick up.
Father’s Day gifts are actually rather easy if you consider what Dads love to do. Relax, build things, and watch sports. These three things are surefire winners 99 percent of the time. Stick to the basics and you will be a big winner on Father’s Day.

In reply to Great Gift Idea #2: I just bought a book for my father for Father’s Day called “the 100 Sporting Events You Must See Live”–it gives you details on a bunch of great events with insider tips on the events themselves, how to get there, where to stay, where to eat, etc.
It’s a really informative book that I recommend to any sports loving Dad!
[I got it on amazon.com but you can probably get it at any major bookstore]
