Buenos Aires which is the capital city of Argentina is one of the largest and best populated cities in Latin America. The City is located slightly outside the province, but the area is so densely populated and lively that it becomes hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. Buenos Aires Zoo
This world-famous zoo provides an excellent day out for the whole family. The zoo itself is famous for its preservation and conservation works, and has a whole array of animals which are not ordinarily found in American zoos. There are almost 100 different types of mammal to be found at the zoo, in fact, you can even ride on some of them. If you have always been curious about what it would feel like to ride on the back of a camel or an elephant, a visit to this zoo will provide you with ample opportunity. Teatro Colon
Though the name might not exactly roll off your tongue, this theater has been named as one of the world’s premium opera houses. Whether you are interested in some relaxing music to soothe your tired body, or want to rub shoulders with the stars, a night at the opera will be an excellent opportunity to kick back and relax. The acoustics which have been built into the opera house are both excellent and unique. The stage is huge and deep, and the auditorium is an interesting horse-shoe shape. When Argentina was thriving economically there were some of the finest performances ever seen performed on that very same stage.
Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens of Buenos Aires not only house a multitude of different plant species, they also are home to a colony of feral cats that have inhabited the area. The garden is one huge triangle that is located in close proximity to the zoo, and the gardens of Japan. There are several sculptures to be seen in the gardens, which are surrounded by almost 6,000 different types of shrubs, trees, and other plants. There are five large winter houses contained in the Botanical Gardens, and the wonderful smell of the flowers will entrance you.
Argentina and especially Buenos Aires is famous for the dancing. Whilst you are there it is important to dust off your dancing shoes, enjoy the local cuisine, and feel the full flavor of the area. Whatever your interest, Buenos Aires will have something special to offer you.
