If you have money burning a hole in your pocket (and make that a big hole too), you may want to set your vacation sites on luxurious Bermuda. Admittedly enough, the Bermuda Islands is one of the most expensive vacation spots in the entire world. It is considered as one of the oldest and most populous remaining British colony, and has always enjoyed an onslaught of vacationers ever since. The facilities here are always on the first-class level and there are some lodging establishments that can offer you everything you need, like a private car to use, to a mini bar at your disposal or even an escort to and fro the casinos.

Anyway, most vacationers head on out to the beaches. Bermuda beaches have remained especially pristine, especially since this is one of the colony’s greatest attractions. The pink sands of South Shore Park are especially gorgeous, but some of the really best beaches are privately owned, and therefore not open to the public. These beaches can be rented out to a few individuals but reservations should be made months in advance. Some beaches like the Natural Arches Beach are very exclusive but still can be availed of (if you have the right connections, that is.) These beaches would be perfect if you prefer solitude. The use of some private beaches sometimes become part and parcel of the more popular Caribbean cruises, so you may want to check out what trips are available and what beaches they can give you access to.
In any case, if you prefer a more populated surrounding, public beaches in Bermuda still have a lot to offer. You can do many water sports activities near the water’s edge; anything from: kayaking, to paragliding and more. Scuba diving enthusiasts find Bermuda particularly interesting, because there are many wreckage and coral reefs to explore. If you are into underwater exploration, we highly recommend you visit Church Bay. There are numerous small-scale companies that are more than willing to lend you a helping hand, from snorkeling devices, to scuba diving gear.
There are certain things consider though. For one thing, nudes and even semi nudes are not allowed in all the beaches of Bermuda. Even private beaches do not allow such blatant bodily display, and the local government certainly does not take kindly to it. Camping and sleeping on the beaches are also a no-no. If you want to catch a little zzz’s near the water, we highly recommend you acquire a room near the beach fronts and take your nap on their premises.
Plus, if you really want to avoid drowning within the throng of people, we recommend you avoid the beaches during national holidays and festivities. You can easily check when these holidays and festivals are by simply logging on the World Wide Web. It is during these times when the locals hit the beaches, not to swim, but to while away the time. It is also during these times when the local government issues permits to individuals and groups of people to camp outside the borders of the public beaches.
However, if you prefer to keep your feet dry, there are other attractions you could visit like the Aquarium and Zoo; the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute; the Crystal Caves and the Royal Navy Dockyard and Museum.
