Allen Jay Park – Allen Jay Park has long been a hotbed of activity, and today is no exception. The Park has two softball fields as well as a little league baseball field. Additionally, there are pickup football games going on during the weekends, along with flag football. The park also has tennis courts, and fenced in basketball courts. The Park is open to the public, and there is always something to do.
Blair Park Golf Course – If golfing is your cup of tea, then High Point has you covered there as well. Blair Park Golf Course has been in High Point for decades, and it is one of the best golf courses around. The lush greens and pristine fairways will have you in golfing paradise!
The Environmental Center – The Environmental Center in High Point is one of the best places to get exercise on the East Coast. Why? Well, for one you have acres after acres of wonderful nature trails that are clearly marked and easily traversed. Some trails take you along the beautiful city lake, and others take you deep in the woods. Also, there is a museum with a number of live critters for the kids to enjoy.
The City Lake Park – The City Lake Park has been a part of High Point for decades as well, and it is easy to see why. Playgrounds, a train that takes you all around the park, fire engines, and horse shoe pits are just the start of the fun. You can also find a full sized Olympic swimming pool along with a great water slide. The fun never ends at High Point City Lake Park. People drive all the way from Virginia for this great park.
Archdale Recreational Park – Archdale recreational park is yet another fun and games place in the great city of High Point. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoes, playgrounds, fishing, and even some fantastic shelters for family cook outs. Archdale Recreational Park is one of the best places in North Carolina for vacation and family.
