The water supply from the city comes from Lake Maumelle, which is northwest of Little Rock, and not from the river itself. Tulsa was formerly known as “the oil capital of the world.” Since the state hit economic difficulties Tulsa attempted to diversify, and is now known mainly for aviation, finance, and technology. More importantly, if you are going for a visit, Tulsa is where Western Swing music began. Tulsa is situated at the foot of the Ozark Mountains, and is on the receiving end of bad weather from Tornado Alley fairly frequently. Aside from that, Tulsa is generally regarded as one of the most livable of the larger cities, and the inhabitants benefit from the diverse range of entertainment and activities on offer.
