Kawasaki, the world’s leading manufacturer of motorcycles and other vehicles has launched Kawasaki Ninja 650R sport bike that features a cutting edge design and remarkable versatility.
Kawasaki Ninja 650R is designed to give riders a comfortable seating position; this bike is also suitable for people who are often running errands as this motor bike is highly-designed to give them accurate control when slicing through commuter traffic.
It features a powerful twin engine that is smaller than the Ninja 500’s which makes it possible to reduce the size of the entire motorcycle. The Ninja 650R also uses a 649cc parallel twin-cylinder (DOHC engine). The motor’s engine is designed to deliver smooth and responsive power once the rider chooses a low to mid RPM range. This is important because it provides an exceptional roll-on response when dealing with city traffic. A triangular crank and transmission shaft, a narrow pitch of aluminum cylinders, and a semi-dry sump oil system lay-out greatly reduce the engine’s size dramatically. (It only weighs 178 kg or 393 lbs and has fuel capacity 15 liters.)
Kawasaki Ninja 650R also has an engine with a muffler with 3-way catalyzer and a bullet-tip opening. This design creates a lower center of gravity that results to a better weight centralization. It has 180-degree crankshaft and a balancer shaft that allows smooth engine operation.
The motor bike has liquid cooling to reduce engine heat; this design will maintain a consistent temperature that will result to a longer engine life. Also, the engine has a high-tolerance for more horsepower and is capable of sustaining power during hard use. Six-spoke wheel design utilizes the same engineering blueprint as the Ninja ZX-6R and ZX-10R. This requires much less material between spokes for a thinner rim and a lighter wheel. Its wheelbase is 55.5 inches, with a front tire of 120/70-17 and rear tire of 160/60-17.
The Ninja 650R has bodywork which is designed with aerodynamic windscreen that can cut through wind. Its integrated front turn signals enhance appearance with clear lenses. A low and narrow seat (a seat height of 790 mm) is combined with a compact design that allows users to set their feet firmly on the ground. Plus, a textured seat cover and a highly-designed ergonomics created a natural and comfortable riding position.
Kawasaki Ninja 650R can reach a top speed of 120 mph or 190 km/h. Its frontal brakes use a dual 300 mm petal disc with hydraulic caliper. This sport bike is available in many colors—black and gray; silver and gray; Candy Plasma Blue, Passion Red. This year, Kawasaki released three new colors: Sunbeam Red, Lime Green, and Metallic Diablo Black.
