Five Great Fourth of July Party Games

The fourth of July is fast approaching and family get togethers and parties will be popping up all over the place. To have a truly exciting fourth of July party, you have to have some awesome recreation. Nothing is better than some good old fashioned games to liven up the party. Here are five great games for you to play at your fourth of July party:

Horseshoes - The great thing about horseshoes is the fact that you can play it regardless of your age. As a matter of fact, the older generation will often wipe the floor with the younger when it comes to horseshoes. This game is tons of fun at any party, and is not very expensive to set up either. For your next fourth of July party, get out the old shoes for some good old fashioned fun.

Badminton - Of all the “netted” games, badminton is the least strenuous. That is not to say that it has to be laid back, as some games become quite competitive. That said, badminton is popular for just that reason. It can be highly strenuous, or not at all strenuous, depending on who is playing. It is the perfect game for a party that has various aged family members in attendance. Everybody can join in the fun.

Flag Football - For the young guns in the family, flag football is always a fun addition to a party. Flag football is just like regular football, except you pull flags from a player’s belt rather than tackling them. This game is still high impact fun from the first snap. Line up two teams, and replay the last Super Bowl right on your front lawn. Flag football is a fourth of July classic.

Hide and Go Seek - Many adults see high and go seek as a child’s game, and they do not know what they are missing. While certainly it is a great kid’s game, adults can enjoy it as well. Line up everyone that wants to play. Hide one person’s eyes, and then everybody scatter off to be found. The last person to be found wins. Sounds simple, but when you are an adult the game is much tougher than you remember. You have a whole lot more of you to hide now.

Volleyball - Of all the fourth of July party games, volleyball is still the most requested. The reason for this is because the game is simple to play, and yet it requires teamwork to do well. Most everyone will be willing to join the fun, as volleyball is not a game that people are intimidated by. This is one reason that volleyball is the most popular fourth of July party game of them all. The other reason is that it is a ton of fun!
