Former Dancing With The Stars champion and popular sports race car driver Helio Castroneves was found not guilty on Friday of six charges of tax evasion. Helio was also charged with one count of conspiracy but it came back hung. Castroneves was being charged alongside his sister, Katiucia, who was also acquitted. It was accused that Castroneves, his sister, and his lawyer had tried to evade US income tax in the amount of 2.3 million dollars.

After decades of entertaining NFL football fans with his well placed bams, booms, and enthusiasm, John Madden is finally stepping down. For years now Madden has manned the booth and headlined the biggest NFL games on television. His style was not always the most popular, but Madden always knew his football and called games with passion. That passion is the single biggest thing I will miss the most about John Madden. It was always obvious that he loved the game of NFL football as much as I did.

Carrie Underwood is now officially country music’s biggest star, at least for the current moment. The former American Idol Winner and popular country music superstar picked up the ACMA Entertainer of the Year Award over reigning champion Kenny Chesney. Chesney had won the award for four years running, and Underwood is also the first female act to win it since the Dixie Chicks won in 2000.

Natasha Richardson as originally reported on Monday has suffered severe brain injuries in conjunction with a skiing accident. The 45 year old actress and wife of actor Liam Neeson was said to have been taking a lesson on a beginner’s course at Station Mont Tremblant which is about 80 miles northwest of Montreal.
