It is often better to root for the natural look than the made up look, as not all people like ladies with too much make up. Achieving that natural look isn’t easy. It starts with following a good skin care regimen. Remember to always eat right and get plenty of sleep to keep away those black circles under your eyes and to make your skin glow. Use a skin cleanser that is right for your skin type, whether you have oily, normal or mix type skin. Remember to never ever sleep with your make-up on as this would cause pimples to appear on your skin. A healthy skin is the best beauty secret anybody can posses.

Having healthy skin also makes putting make-up easier. The first start of any good make-up is a foundation. If you are just going to the mall or to hang-out with some friends, it would be best not to use heavy foundation as they may be harmful to your skin. Try putting loose powder as a substitute. Liquid or powder foundation is best for evening parties or may be special occasions. Apply the foundation evenly and look for a shade that is close to your natural skin tone. Apply concealer that has the same shade as your skin. Day or night, the concealer is every girl’s best friend in keeping unwanted blemishes from appearing on your skin. Putting concealer under your eyes also makes a good effect. Re-apply powder on those areas where you put concealer so as to blend.

Use eyeliner that has a lighter shade than your eyebrows to form your eyebrows and your eyelids. Choose an eye shadow that is right for the occasion. Warm colors are best in the day and light colors in evenings. Apply the eye shadow from the inner to the outer corner of your upper eyelid. Put on mascara from the roots of the lashes out to the tips in a zigzag motion to part the lashes.

Put lip balm before applying any lipstick. You may use a lip liner to define your lips. With a lipstick brush, apply the lipstick from the middle of the upper lip to the sides and from the sides of the lower lip to the middle. Choose light shades of lip stick for the day and darker shades at night. Make sure your lipstick color blends with the color of your eye shadow. For fuller, more seductive lips use lip gloss. Lastly, apply blush on your cheeks from the inside out towards your hairline.

I’ve turned to online deal hunting when it comes to beauty. I found a brand called Coono Babe that is very inexpensive and the products are almost identical to my former name brand favorites. Their Happy Ending finishing powder is exactly like Bobbi Brown’s powder - but costs over $20 less. An added bonus- they offer free shipping on all orders. Check them out :).
