  • Design the navigation system of the site which is visually appealing to the visitors. This means that every link and page should be consistent to each other to avoid confusion.
  • Since search engine is very important, with most people relying from this, it is important to exploit this feature.
  • Text links are very important, so these must always be included in creating a website. To make these stands out, it is important for webmasters to highlight the words. They can also use scripting language such as Javascript and other dynamic menu system. Webmasters should always consider that the text links should also cover the topics on the page. To make it easier for visitors to reach the links, it is highly-recommended to put a title or a brief explanation about these.
  • When building a large site, webmasters should add text-based site map feature which serves as a complement to text-links. This feature will help visitors to easily find what they are looking for.
  • Site search box is probably one of the most important features for web site since this will help visitors to easily find what they are looking for just but typing in the word.
  • The web site should feature site logo. The most ideal location to put this is on the upper part of the home page since most visitors would only have the tendency to scour the upper portion of the page.
  • Be sure to use concise words. Make every word “speaks” and avoid lengthy phrases. Content is one of the most important considerations since this will determine if the website is successful in informing its visitors. This must also be in connection with the search engine’s title to make this more accessible to the visitors. Follow the inverted pyramid style in writing the content, this means that the most important details should be located at the upper portion of the page and the least important ones in the lower part.
  • Avoid eye-sore designs and confusing patterns; make the web site as simple as possible and easier to read. Always be sure that the background’s design is pleasing to the visual sense. Stick to the single page layout, creating a uniform composition which will prevent visitors from being confused.
  • Allow visitors to comment on the site. Knowing their feedbacks is very important in order for webmasters to address certain problems regarding the site. Knowing the web site’s weak points will help them improve these.
  • Build a reliable custom error page which can help visitors whenever they type the URL incorrectly. In designing this feature, webmasters should make it consistent to the web site’s color and design.
