I came across this word again as I try to lose some weight and need some supplements hoping to make the process go faster. Apparently, taurine really has something to do with our lives and somehow we really need them to be really healthy. Even if you’re not asking to be slim, you might need them for major bodily functions.
You can look at the benefits of taurine by way of its function in our body. Taurine is one of the most important ingredients in our body to create bile. Bile is not just something created for nothing. Rather it is responsible for digesting fat faster and also heightens the effects of the vitamins produced by our body. If you can’t find a decent vitamin pill that would produce enough taurine for the day, you can consider adding some foods in your diet to make sure you have them. Meat and fish are the number one source of taurine that are not in vitamin form. It’s as easy as eating meat that you’ll be ensured to have the proper amount of taurine. The effects of fish are also the same.
Although there are no proof that someone can get hurt by taking so much of these, taking taurine through vitamins should still not be excessive. It’s recommended that you have at least six grams a day distributed in three meals.
Taurine is an essential acid in your body. Eat enough fish or meat and avoid alcohol if you want to make sure you have lots of them especially when you’re trying to lose some weight.

I hope this isn’t an old out of date website, but here goes anyway. I have been reading for days about Taurine and have consequently become totally confused. To make a long story short, I wanted to take it for high blood pressure and to try and help stave any possible Alzheimers Disease in the future. However, I have hapatomegaly and today I have read a couple articles that suggest Taurine increases fat in the liver. That is, if I read it correctly. I just have a simple question…….if I take Taurine will it contribute to the hepatomegaly? I have it due to a serious case of Infectious Mono as a small child, not due to alcohol. I am in my 60’s and afraid to take almost everything as have had side effects from some unknown products. I would appreciate any input.
