Every body hates having bad breath. Not only do we hate having to experience smelling it but most of all, nobody will ever like the idea of having it. The extreme kind of bad breath can be a cause of many reasons. Some point it as a genetic thing—meaning it has existed in the person’s family. Another reason why extreme bad breath can be experienced is because of nutritional reasons. Alcoholics and smokers are known to be highly susceptible in having bad breath. Aside from being a result of the chemicals they intake, the toxins also found in such chemicals can also facilitate detrimental effects to happen inside the internal organs. In this case, bad breath can become a sign that something is definitely wrong in the digestive tract of the person.
But in lighter instances, bad breath can simply be a cause of bad hygiene as well as the food being eaten. People who do not brush or even floss their teeth as often as they should will likely end up with bad breath. Also, spicy foods are known to be sources of having bad breath. This includes garlic and onions among others. Oral hygiene in terms of regular brushing is extremely important in preventing bad breath because it takes care of the minute bacteria which are left off from the food you eat. In addition, it is also extremely important to brush your tongue and not just pay attention to your teeth. The tongue is considered to be the greatest accumulator of bacteria from the foods being eaten.
You should also make sure that you regularly remove your bowels. Yes, constipation can have an adverse effect on your breath. Imagine all that stuck up bowel inside your large intestine. Surely the stench will have to come out somewhere. To help facilitate regular bowel movement, keep a steady supply of fibers within your body’s system. You should also drink plenty of water so that your mouth can be washed off from the bacteria you have eaten.
