Make Money While You Play Games

Since a few years ago, games have been a billion dollar industry that everyone just wants to have a piece of earning. The word “gamer” is not just for nerds, but also for professionals with skills. Some even make so much money as a gamer that they quit their regular daytime jobs and concentrate on playing games. These gamers earn through tournaments, products testing or even endorsements if they have become popular gamers in the US.

If you love playing games, now is the moment to earn a little bit of something from your expertise. There are online games where when you win, you don’t only win on bragging rights but you are actually awarded with money or something else.

Moola.com – a website that combines casual gaming, social networking and $10 million in prize money. Unfortunately, there could only be a few casual gamers who can reach this feat since as you move up, you knock out other players in the competition. Challenge one another in these games, and collect your earning each time you defeat your opponent. You start the game by owning one cent and it doubles every time you win. If you win 30 straight games, you’ll win $10 million in cold cash.

iWon.com – this site has so many games, and you’ll find yourself actually hooked up with many of them. Even though they don’t issue money, points you earn from their website could be converted into a ticket where you can earn so many prizes. When you first visit the website, you’ll have an invitation to spin the wheel five times, and matching combinations will give you a free gift but no cash.

Wipido.com – for hardcore gamers, here’s your site. Although the concept is a little bit shady, this is what you could do: Create a gamer profile and play your favorite games. They will provide you with a tool by which you can record your game and later upload it. Based on the betting system, you’ll be able to win hard cold cash. They don’t recommend any particular game but I think any PC game would be perfect for in game recording.

Kickplay.com – as of this writing, this website is still in Alpha version so it’s still young and could possibly have holes in it. However for a casual gamer it doesn’t really matter. There are lots of games to be enjoyed and they can be fully personalized by uploading your own picture. Sounds can also be customized when you upload your preferred sound or you can just get one from their extensive library of games. Although players don’t earn anything in this game except for killing time by banging your head with the stick or get your face appear in the solitaire card. Developers on the other hand will have the chance of sharing the site earnings with the owner.

Absolutely Free MMORPG

Technology is getting better and better nowadays and there’s no stopping our gaming experience. 20 years ago we find ourselves drooling over 16-BIT Mario games. The fun never stops when we see Mario or Luigi jumping over koopa-tropers and trying to save the princess in each stage. Then comes the PlayStation and then Xbox, and our individual world is shattered with the ability to play MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game).

Honesty, I lost track where MMORPG started. But it all seemed to get really popular when South Korea started to bring out the best of gaming software. We’re not only to play the game ourselves but we are now playing with thousands, even millions of people worldwide.

At first we have to pay to play these popular titles. Even now, the best of games can still command great following even if you have to pay for each minute of being connected to that system. The World of Warcraft, rakes millions of profits each year because of the membership and fees for being connected online.

But if you’re really not that gaming person but you want to try out some of these games, don’t worry. There are titles available right now that you can try and these are absolutely free. You just download their software online, create an account and play the game like crazy. Here are some of the games that I’ve been trying and you might have some fun playing them.

Pangya – ah, for golfers out there who want to take it to the next level, this is your game. At first you’ll have a hard time figuring out your swing but after a game or two, you’ll get the hang of it. This game pits you against other golfers who happen to be online. You can join a group of people who are planning to start a game and once you start, the race on finishing with the least of strokes and the fastest time possible wins. The number of points from your wins can be used to purchase some magic to increase the chances of getting that hole in one. The developers earn by selling stuff that will also help you in your quest to be the best.

Bots – if you love robots, then this will be your game. I think bots has a story but I really don’t care. They call their enemies virus and once you start creating an account and download the software, you’re on your way to smashing other robots or “virus.” The best thing about this is that you can play together to defeat viruses in different stages or you can play against one another. You can practically feel how it hurts to be a robot being drilled by the enemy. Earnings are also come from the upgrades for your robots. But if you’re like me, as long as I smash them, I’ m having the time of my life.

WarRock – Definitely my favorite! This free game is still in beta version in Asia but this is really addictive. This is an MMORPG spin off of counter strike and half-life but instead of running against the enemies, you can get a car, a helicopter, cycle, tank or anything that can smash the enemies into pieces. Choose from Medic, Engineer, Assult, Sniper or a Launcher to play your role in this really fun and interesting shooting game.

Quake III Arena: A Remembrance

Quake III Arena, the game that spawned the interests of many in multiplayer first-person shooter games, was released on December 2nd 1999. The game is commonly referred to as Quake 3, Q3A and Q3. This game had set new standards in FPS ( first person shooter ) games making them at par with other popular game genres. It is the third game in the Quake Series and surpasses the previous games due to the fact that it excludes the simple single player characteristics and focuses on the multiplayer action. The single player experience is similar to Unreal Tournament (UT) and deals with the player versus AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Like many of the first person shooter games, the main objective of Quake III is to kill other characters ( whether AI or other players ) which in Quake III terms is known as “fragging.” The points which a player gathers, depend on the game mode which he is playing in. As soon as a player’s health meter reaches zero, the character (avatar) which the player has been using gets fragged. It can then respawn at another area and carry on playing with its health meter back to full. The only thing which an avatar loses after getting fragged, is the weapons and power-ups, which he has gathered. The game finishes at the moment when the player or the team gathers a pre-defined score, or when the time limit of the game ends. With the speed of the game, it is enjoyed enormously by people who like fast moving action packed games. So if you are one of these, be sure to try your hands on Quake III.

The single player mode of the game constitutes the same effects, which are done with AI bots. The game for the first time featured improved AI which contained many different difficulty levels as each bot was made up usually with a humorous personality. This personality came out with the pre-scripted chat sentences which were “spoken” by the bot during the gameplay and made the game more interesting (funny to be precise). The bots pass scorning comments on the opponent when they were fragged and bragged themselves on fragging others.

“Quake III: Team Arena” was an expansion pack launched for Quake III by id Software, and was released in December 2000. It created many new player models, new weapons and items and also made significant changes in the team gameplay by introducing new game modes. But such additions had already been released and implemented by fan modifications and thus the expansion pack was criticized due to its late release. “Quake III: Gold” also followed after some years, which bundled together both the main game and the expansion pack and was re-launched with great advertising.

Quake III Arena’s multiplayer advantages led to the development of a large community of Quake III addicts and like the former games of the series, this game too was used a lot in professional tournaments. The end story is that if you are a hardcore action FPS fan, be sure not to miss Quake III. :)
