Sony makes all kinds of electronics, televisions, video games, and movies, but it has always had a hard time encouraging it’s various divisions to cross-promote one another’s products. The company recently announced that it would be closing one such effort- it’s sole PlayStation store and the neighboring Sony Style outlet in the Metreon Center, an entertainment and shopping complex in San Francisco.

ZDNet.com is reporting that Nintendo will soon introduce a new version of its mega-popular DS handheld gaming system. According to Nintendo’s own press release, the DS is projected to sell 28 million units this fiscal year, a remarkable success by any standard. Still, Nintendo is not resting on their laurels. The company has been busy redesigning the DS, and adding new features to be rolled out in the next generation of DS hardware.
Microsoft and Netflix Team Up for Xbox Movies
Media blogs and forums have been buzzing over the past few months with speculation over a possible deal between Netflix and Microsoft to allow Netflix subscribers to view streaming films and television shows on their Xbox 360 game consoles.
