Virtually every great horror movie has to have a hot looking woman being chased, stalked, or killed. Throughout history the damsel in distress has played a huge part in the success of horror movies, and today is no different. Without a great looking woman in the horror movie, it somehow seems lacking in entertainment value. Greats from the past include Jamie Lee Curtis, Fay Wray, and Janet Leigh. Who are the hottest women of today’s group of horror movies?

1. Jessica Biel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) - When the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake first came out about the only thing TCM fans seemed to agree on was that Biel was the right person for the part. Not one bit of that had anything to do with her hotness factor…right? The movie was absolutely made not only by her hotness, but her acting was top of the line as well. I will never look at a 1970’s van in quite the same way.
2. Elisa Dushku (Wrong Turn) - Though her gravelly voice grates on your nerves, one can not deny the fact that Dushku is one hot tamale. She played a very gritty part in Wrong Turn and helped it to a much higher success level than one would have expected. Dushku’s hotness factor was elevated even more by the fact of just how ugly the inbreeds were in this film. She also gets bonus points for surviving at least twenty seven attacks. (Okay so that is an exaggeration)
3. Neve Campbell (Scream Trilogy, The Craft) - Neve is one of those gals that you simply can not ignore on the screen. Sometimes it is because she is doing the same thing from scene to scene (scrunching her nose, grimacing, etc…) and sometimes it is because she is just so darn cute. Whatever the case, she is considered a scream queen for our time. She is also among the few scream queens to never have died on film.
4. Sarah Michelle Gellar (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, The Grudge) - Gellar kind of shocked me with her performances in The Grudge after a couple of lackluster performances in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. Regardless, she was hot in each and every one of them. Though her acting chops leave something to be desired sometimes, her presence is warranted for other reasons.
5. Ali Larter (House on Haunted Hill, Final Destination, Final Destination 2) - Now this is a modern day scream queen. From the first moments of every movie she is in, all male eyes are on her alone. That is the essence of a scream queen after all. Take your attention away from the obvious clues that somebody is about to get whacked. Ali does that as good as any woman in horror movies today. Larter also has been rumored to be in the new Nightmare on Elm Street remake, but that is rumor only at this point. Who better to play Nancy?
Though these five scream queens are the hottest in my opinion, there is sure to be discussion of why I am right or wrong. By all means, leave your hottest list in the comments below and tell me why I am right or wrong.
