Victoria Beckham and newly-wed Katie Holmes have been best buddies as of late. In fact, they’ve practically been inseperable. In a move that would lessen the distance between the pair, Victoria has been looking for homes nearer to Cruise family. Posh Spice was spotted house hunting in Los Angeles, in one instance just five doors down from the current residence of Katie, Tom, and their daughter Suri.
The first home she looked at was a $15 million dollar mansion hidden from view by huge gates, where Victoria spent over an hour and a half looking at the property. The house is a Spanish style mansion, and has both spectacular ocean and city views. It has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a waterfall, and a spa with great views of the surrounding areas. It also features a luxurious lounge, complete with a screening room and entertainment suite. Victoria also looked at two other properties still very close to the Cruise household. The second property that she looked at was an $8 million house with a huge swimming pool, beautiful views of the city, and a unique living area with glass walls. The last property she looked at was the closest to the Cruise residence - just 5 doors down the street. It was onced own by Chris Evans and Billie Piper, and Lionel Richie, and is on sale for $15 million.
Buying a house in Los Angeles will most certainly inspire speculation that Posh’s husband, David Beckham, will be quitting Spain at the end of the year when his contract with Real Madrid runs out. This would not be entirely surprising as David has said in the past that he would like to end his football playing career in the United States. Beckham has also recently set up a football academy in the States. The move would not only benefit David, but also his wife, who is due to make her debut as a fashion guru on an upcoming U.S. television show. Mrs. Beckham is trying make a name for herself internationally as more than just the former Spice Girls pop star.
A move to Los Angeles would also reunite the best friends, Katie and Victoria, who will be free to easily swap recipes and parenting advice as new neighbors. Victoria was introduced to Katie by her husband, Tom Cruise, who had come to know the Beckhams through his love of football. Since the two were introduced, they have become inseperable. Victoria have Katie advice and support throughout her pregnancy, and offered up her help during the planning of the Holmes-Cruise wedding that happened earlier this month.
