Jon and Kate Gosselin, who have been having marital problems for quite some time now, will be making an announcement on Monday. Many people feel that the couple may be announcing that they are going to be having a divorce, while some feel that they may be announcing a pregnancy. Still others feel that the Gosselin couple is going to be announcing the end of their reality TV series, Jon and Kate Plus Eight.
People has posted a new teaser video of Jon and Kate. In it, the couple discusses their relationship and what has happened to them as a family. Kate repeatedly says that this is not something that has just recently been brought to their attention. Apparently, Jon and Kate feel as though the problems that they have been experiencing have been going on for quite some time now. The question is, how long and is their marriage still repairable?
In the video, Jon says, “It just got worse and worse and worse. And with the tabloids and all that, it just made it even worse.” Kate says, “We can’t go back now. We can only go forward and that’s what we’re going to do.” Is it possible that the couple may choose to go off the air in order to work on their relationship problems? Are Jon and Kate not as money-hungry as most people feel that they are – to the point where they would be willing to sacrifice their earnings from the show in order to maintain their marriage? Could this possibly be their announcement?
Kate Gosselin also mentions in the video that no matter what the relationship that she and Jon have with one another, their eight children still come before anything else. Recently, the state of Pennsylvania was looking into whether or not the couple had been abusing child labor laws by requiring their children to work for the show. If the Gosselin family announces that there will no longer be any Jon and Kate Plus Eight episodes, could it be because they are being forced to go off the air? Even despite the fact that they are TLC’s most viewed reality TV series?
Jon and Kate, who have been married for ten years, now sit alone on the couch when discussing the show and their relationship. This seems to emphasize that the couple may be separating, and may indicate that their problems are past the point of being dealt with.
