It was only a few weeks ago when Michael Jackson was unexpectedly found dead at his home. Much has happened since then. Authorities have been working to uncover the reason that Jackson died. The family believes that the singer’s death was not due to natural causes. His doctors have not necessarily been cooperating with law enforcement officials to release their medical records, and it appears that Debbie Rowe may be seeking custody of the biological children that she had with the King of Pop. Despite all of this, it seems that the Jackson Five may be reuniting…as the Jackson Four, of course.
A Jackson 4 Reunion?
The Los Angeles Times originally reported that Michael Jackson’s brothers - Tito, Randy, Marlon, and Jermaine - are talking about doing a mini reunion tour. They would perform at the O2 Arena in London, which is where Michael Jackson had scheduled to perform fifty shows for his own comeback prior to his death. Although nothing has been officially set in stone yet, the talks seem to be pretty positive so far.

This is not the only new thing which seems to be happening with the Jackson family at the moment. Many people found it very unusual that Janet Jackson’s long time boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, did not attend the memorial service for Michael Jackson. The two had dated for seven years, after all. Various sources have confirmed that Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri have split.
According to UPI, a source close to the couple said, “They have been moving in different directions for awhile.” Another source said, “You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. Janet felt that their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate” (UPI). This comment was referring to the fact that Jermaine Dupri had produced some of the songs on Janet Jackson’s albums.
Is a Comeback Possible?
Is it possible for the Jackson five, which are now four, to make a comeback? It needs to be taken into consideration that Michael Jackson was the strongest singer in the group. Could the Jackson family do it on their own, without MJ? Perhaps. There are many people who are heartbroken over the death of Michael Jackson, and it is likely that they will be more than willing to see the Jackson four perform, with or without MJ. Attending a Jackson brother reunion is likely to be an experience that many people would pay big bucks for. People also tend to be much more inspired when they lose loved ones, so it would not be too surprising if the Jackson four were to release songs about the death of their brother.
It should be interesting to see what happens with the Jackson Four comeback, as this could really go either way. As much as a loss as we have seen with the death of the King of Pop, there could be a possibility that the Jackson four may be able to fulfill the empty space that many people now have in their hearts, where MJ once was. More movies are sure to follow as well.
