In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must be a female who is at least 5’10” or a man who is at least 6’2”. Students must be under 21 years of age and planning to attend college during the fall semester in order to qualify for this scholarship. The scholarship is for $1,000.
Duct Tape “Stuck at Prom” Contest Scholarship
You have probably heard about this scholarship before. In order to be eligible to enter this scholarship contest, a couple needs to attend prom together. The catch? You will need to create your prom attire using duct tape. When applying for the contest, you will need to submit a photograph of the attire that you create. First place winners will be awarded $3,000 each and the school will also be given $3,000. Second place winners will win $2,000 and third place winners will win $1,000. If you’re interested in fashion design, this could be an interesting opportunity for you!
Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship
If you are a vegetarian who has promoted this lifestyle choice in your community, this is a scholarship opportunity that may be the right choice for you. To enter, you will need to write an essay about how you have promoted vegetarianism in your school or community. Two winners will be awarded $5,000 scholarships. Keep in mind that this scholarship is only open to United States high school seniors.
Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest
If you are talented at quacking, then this scholarship opportunity may be right up your alley. The best duck caller will be given a scholarship of $1,500. The first runner up for this scholarship will win $500. The second runner up will be given $300 and the third runner up will be given $200. In order to qualify, you must be a high school student. This can be a great choice for environmental science students who are familiar with bird calls.
National Candy Technologists Scholarship
Interested in studying food science, chemical science, biological science, or something very close to this? If so, then you will want to apply for this scholarship. In order to qualify, you must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior who has at least a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is for $5,000 and will be paid in two installments of $2,500.
