Hair is a critical part of any women appearance and it becomes even more important when you have a career to handle every day! But most women who do have a hectic professional career have to handle a hectic home life as well and for that long hairstyles are not really going to work. It’s a good idea to have short-to-medium length hairstyles as these are the most professional. Shoulder length hair can also be considered good for a professional. A few of the more modern haircuts which are regularly done for business women are pixie cuts, updo’s, bangs, shags, short cuts, bob cuts and blunts.
Here are a few tips to help you out in choosing the ideal hair cuts for business women;
If you have long hair-No doubt you’ve spent a lot of time and effort growing your hair to the length it is now but will that long hair really help you out in your career? Not really right? When you are already in a high stress position where you have to look your best at every minute, do you have the time to deal with every little way ward strand which will go wafting about your face during an important business deal? That’s the main reason why long hair doesn’t really work in a processional atmosphere. Real success should be visible in your physical dressing and having well styled hair can indicate your focus on your career as well as your socioeconomic success.
Another problem with extremely long hair is the danger of appearing girlish. It’s a big advantage to have well-groomed hair which will remain in place all through your work day without you having to worry about it! If you do want to retain your long hair, then do make sure you have suitable hair styles you can use regularly. Most professional women will have long hair pulled off the face to form a classic chignon, bun, or even a long pony tail off the face. If you are thinking of doing a few of those upswept looks for a business day then keep it simple. Having too many tendrils falling over your face will only distract you for your job and make you look silly and unprofessional. Condition your hair regularly and if it’s not in top condition then its time for that long mane to go.
If you’re still not very sure about how short to go for your haircut then ask your stylist to remove about a few inches from the bottom and then see how it works out. You can then go progressively shorter till you are completely comfortable with the short styles which will suit you. Short haircut styles are really an essential for any business woman and all you have to do is wash it, dry it and style it and you’re done for the day!

It would be nice to see some examples. Us women with very long hair haven’t had much expirience with short cuts. Shoulder-length is my first step, how about some help here?
