There is nothing sexier than going all natural during the better part of the day. Forget those dramatic smoky eyes, those heavily rouged purple cheeks and those ruby red lips… you can leave those for more nocturnal activities. And we can assure you, with the number of other girls having the same sexy makeup on for that night - you’d be lost like a teardrop in the ocean.
Think sun goddess for a change, and healthy glow and vibrant spirit. Nothing says sexy like the free spirit look. You can achieve this natural luminosity while wearing about 7 or 8 natural make up products on. I mean, really… we sometimes have to give Mother Nature a bit of help.
So how do you achieve this near perfection au naturale? Here is a list of stuff you would need:
- Concealer Stick that matches the shade of your skin
- Mineral Concealer
- Mineral Foundation
- Eyebrow Liner
- Eyeliner
- Blush
- Lipstick / Lip Gloss
Okay, now let’s just say that you have this rigorous facial treatment that clears you skin of all blemishes. You eat a healthy diet. You clean your face religiously. You tone and moisturize your skin often. And your skin is so totally flawless, that it is possible for you walk with a naked face all throughout the day. Good for you.
But for the rest of us, we need a bit of help concealing those evidences of late night partying, eating too many junk food, and laziness when it comes to beauty regiments. So, a concealer is more than necessary if you want to pull that no-make up sun goddess look. You should remember though that there are some things that cannot be hidden even with the thickest glob of makeup. In fact, some makeup may even aggravate skin blemishes.
If you have a particularly nasty zit, for example, it would be best if you remedy this skin problem first rather than hiding it under several layers of makeup. We recommend Zit Zapper by Skin Doctors if you want this problem to go away … like fast. If you have time though, it would be better to seek the services of a dermatologist for longer lasting results.
Anyhow, the first thing you have to do is to minimize all blemishes – no, not cover up. We are aiming for a natural look so a few blemishes here are but natural. Use the concealer for the eye area; particularly to minimize the dark rings or eye bags under the eyes, and soften the crow’s feet. Place a bit of concealer also on your laugh lines around the mouth area. Apply the mineral concealer first and then the mineral foundation; but do so lightly. Use a rolling, circular motion and pay particular attention to the areas where you have applied the concealer stick. Try applying mineral foundation to your neck area as well.
Make your eyebrows, lining them lightly. Too much lining will be obvious, so go easy on your brows. Line the top lid of your eyes, and only the top, with liquid eyeliner. Pencil eyeliner will also do well but make sure that you apply thinly. When you apply on the blush, choose shades that will make your cheeks appear like you have been under the sun for a few minutes. Shades in the tones of peach, pink and gold will be great. Ditch the red and purple. Do not overdo the blushing process though, and make sure you also apply the blush on parts of your forehead and chin.
Lastly, a soft, nude lipstick or stained lip gloss should work fine. Use your finger to thoroughly blend the colors of the lipstick or gloss on your kissers so that they appear soft and natural. If you need a touch up anytime during the day, you can apply on more mineral foundation, blush and lip gloss. And viola! You have a sun goddess in the works.
