Future husband? Check. Engagement ring? Check. Financial stability? Check. Maybe you have gotten over with the basics, with the thrill of the marriage proposal. What next? Well, nothing less than the wedding preparations. You cannot just expect your dream wedding to come to you simply in a silver platter on your projected date. You ought to have wedding preparations. Wedding preparations can be very tiring. But this is very important, and you can make it as enjoyable as possible if you handle it right.
The time element

This is probably the most important of all factors that affect your wedding preparation. How much time have you got left before the big day? A month? A year? A few weeks? This will tell you how much you will be able to do. The time element will tell you how intense your preparation and plans can be. If you are working with a longer time frame, you will naturally have more time to do things and see it in detail. If you have limited time, you might also want to employ other people to help you out.
How much moolah do you have?
This is another thing that can determine how your wedding will fare. The amount of budget that you have for your wedding will be able to tell you if you will be able to afford more guests, more expensive wedding favors, among many others. But a good wedding need not be an expensive one. Do remember that even on a shoestring budget, you can make the whole occasion memorable and filled with joyful memories. If you have limited financial resources, you may find that increased resourcefulness will work to your advantage.
Wedding planner, photographer and caterer
You will need expertise of different people to help you make your wedding a success. Sure, you can plan it on your own, but if you want to have more time for beauty rest before your big day, a good wedding planner, photographer and caterer would definitely be your best allies for this season. These people will be hired for their skill, and you will find them very valuable for you to be able to reach your dream wedding’s goals.
Theme
Most of the modern weddings revolve around a theme. The theme will be the basis from which your reception, wedding gown, motifs and details will emanate from. If you have a specific theme in mind, you will find it much easier to know which details will be included in your wedding preparations. The theme will also render your wedding a good and unique vibe, a quality that will set it apart from other weddings.
Guests
How many guests would you want to have on your wedding day? Will it be a private affair or the wedding bash of the year complete with a long line of entourage. The number of people who will be gracing your momentous event will also tell you how much you are to prepare, what kind of accommodations would be most comfortable for them and how many wedding favors you will need.
Make your own list and check it twice!
Yes, wedding planners may have their own list. But you must have your own copy, or your own version of lists so that you will be able to monitor the happenings of your wedding preparation.
The bride and the groom
You might be drowned with the wedding preparations that you forget the object of the wedding itself: the bride and the groom. While you will be very busy with so many things, it is no excuse to leave yourself looking haggard. Now is the time to pamper yourself. A schedule for massage in your nearby spa sessions as well as enough amounts of rest in the midst of your activities. A good wedding will be useless if the people who are celebrating it are not deriving their fun from it. You must be able to keep the relationship growing amidst the busyness of the preparations. Use the time wisely and sneak in moments of privacy so that you will not be insanely tired from all these details and you will gain perspective on what your preparations are for.

It seems that you have covered almost everything except for one thing – wedding insurance. This is something that’s not so popular among couples but I’ve read a whole lot of articles about it. Unlike your car insurance this is not expensive but proven to be something very useful. Not that I’m teaching you guys how to be pessimistic. I’m just trying to tell you that it’s always best to prepare for the unexpected. After all, wedding is a serious stuff thus it’s also one of the most expensive events in our life. It is therefore best to prepare for whatever that will bring your investment to wasted.
