If you want to grow facial hair, then you might consider several different styles. You might like to grow out a mustache. You could consider the full, mountain hardened beard. You could, however, go with the ever popular goatee. This style is in style for a reason. In this article, I will discuss how to grow a goatee.
If you really want to grow a goatee, then the first thing you need to do is to quit shaving for a while. This might sound obvious, but it is the thing that must be done. Quit shaving especially near your mouth and let that hair grow out. If you have never done this before, then you will probably be surprised at how the hair around your face actually grows. Some folks can not possibly grow enough hair out to field a goatee. If this is you, do not fret. More hair might grow in or there are other options.

Once you quit shaving and let this hair grow out around your face, you need to take a mental picture of yourself with a goatee and figure out which possible shape might fit you. There are many different types of goatee that you can choose and you will need to figure out which one to toy with.
Once you figure out how you want it to look, you will need to create the goatee. Obviously, doing this by yourself is a little more difficult and there certain things to remember. The most important part is attacking the outermost edges of the goatee. Do this with a great amount of care. You will always want the sides of your goatee to be perfectly symmetrical. Remember that not all hairs grow in the same direction. Take this into your calculations as you shave your goatee. If you are smart, you will shave the hairs between your nose and the top of your mustache. This will make you look much more clean cut.
One thing to always remember is to keep your goatee looking very neat. While it might be popular these days to grow out the awful looking stubble, this never looks good beside a goatee. Either you are growing one or you are not. There can be no in-between when dealing with a goatee. If you do not have the skill to shave it yourself, then find someone who can. You will not be sorry.

That was basic information, I was more courious about how to choose a shape. Much like sunglasses for instance a square face looks better with a certian type of fram as an oval face or a triangular face any tips for this?
