David is one of the most beloved men in all the Bible, and with good reason. Perhaps no other person in the Bible save for Jesus Himself went through as many trials and tribulations as David. Like most great men, it was not his trials and tribulations that made him so beloved. It was the way he dealt with those trials that endeared David to so many, including God himself. The story of Saul and David is a perfect example of David’s dedication to God.
