Sorry, Peter. No one can afford to buy a new mobile home. They’re sold like homes, they’re financed like homes, but depreciate like cars. We bought a mobile home brand new off the lot. After ten years, there was no equity, and we were on the downside over ten thousand dollars. We had to move due to a job situation, and the house sat empty for two years before I cut a deal with the mortgage company. It cost me a pile of money to get out from under that burden.
