The Top Five Marvel Villains

Marvel Comics has always been one of the better comic book companies and their excellent villains are a large reason why. Villains are the backbone of any great animated story, and particularly so in super hero comic books. With that being the case, I thought it might be fun to take a look at some of the coolest Marvel villains of all time. Here are the top five Marvel villains of all time:

Dr. Doom – This medieval malcontent has been bent on world domination for decades now throughout the Marvel universe. His battles with superheroes such as The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, and others are legendary. The really cool green cape does not hurt either. Dr. Doom has been around forever, and is as cool today as when he first hit the comic book scene.

Galactus – Once again we come across a Marvel super villain that is bent on world domination. The one difference is that Doom wants to dominate and Galactus wants to eat the world. Galactus is a planet eater, and has been after Earth for decades as well. Silver Surfer, and The Fantastic Four have had epic battles, as well as the entire Marvel Universe at one time or another.

Green Goblin – Any list of super villains would not be complete without the Green Goblin. Gobbie and the web head himself, Spiderman, has had more battles than one could count on all fingers and toes. Green Goblin is fascinating primarily because of his relationship to Peter Parker….and that really cool glider as well.

Sabretooth – While many may take issue with putting this savage so high on the list of super villains, I have to say that he is the most exciting to me. His battles with Wolverine alone was enough for him to make this list, and the character is fascinating to boot. Sabretooth may have a very limited goal in life, but it is a very interesting one - Death and Destruction.

Magneto – Of all the super villains out there, perhaps Magneto has the best reason for being a villain. Having watched his fellow mutants be abused, mistreated, and killed by humans for years, Magneto is bent on changing that around on humanity. Unfortunately, he is willing to sacrifice all humans to do so. The battle between Magneto and Charles Xavier’s X-men is one of the quintessential super hero stories of all time. Comics do not get any better than that.
