Article Keywording Made Easy - Five Easy Steps

One of the most important skills that an article writer can have is the ability to get their articles read on the Internet. If you can not get your articles read, then your value becomes very limited to potential clients. Keywording is one of the most important ways that you can get your articles read. There are as many methods to article keywording as there are insects in Africa. How do you know which ones are correct? While many of these methods are effective, they are not always very efficient for an article writer that writes a lot. For those people, here is an effective, efficient way to ensure that your articles are keyworded properly:

Keywording, for those that are not aware, is a term used for how often key phrases are used throughout the text of your article. Key phrases often mirror those terms that someone might type into a major search engine to hunt for the information you are providing. For the purposes of this article, a keyword phrase might be “how to keyword” or “keywording articles” as an example. Finding the proper keyword phrases is a matter of putting yourself in the searcher’s mind. Also, you can use tools such as Google Adwords to help educate you on good keyword phrases.

Now that you know the keyword phrases you want for your content, it is important that you build your content with them in mind. Map out a strategy for your information and always leave open options for article keywording. This will eventually become an automated process with practice, and you will not even need to think about your article keywording.

Some of the methods about article keywording have said that you should use keyword phrases 5 percent of the time. That is, in five percent of the total text. I have heard 3, 4, 5, 6, and even 7 percent from various sources and they all claim to be right. Having written several thousand online articles, I can tell you what works for me is around five percent.

With that point aside, the hardest part for me in the beginning was to figure out those percentages. I am not a math dude, hence the writing career. So how do you keyword in a quick way without worrying about percentages, but still getting the results that you want?

To properly keyword an article, it is absolutely vital that you include it in the title. You should then use it in the first paragraph one or two times depending on how the text flows. Use it about four times throughout the body paragraphs. Finally, use the keyword phrase in the final paragraph once or twice depending on flow. Make sure that you sprinkle secondary keywords and phrases throughout the text as well. This article keywording method is based on a 450-500 word article.

While this method is not overly technical, it is effective. This will get you into the percentage needed to be picked up by Google and other major search engines, and that is the point. Spending hours on end figuring out the percentages of keywords in your text is not very time effective, and can slow down your production. Article keywording can be done just as well through this simple, quick method.
